Sometimes it seems that’s there’s only bad news, but remember there is always good news too–it just takes a little searching. This is my attempt to find it and share it. Just click the links to read the stories–I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
1. Empty Nesters Do A Photo Shoot To Celebrate Their Kids Moving Out. Amy and Randy English staged a funny photo shoot commemorating their now empty nest. I love that they are finding the bright side of this stage of life, but I will be curled up in the fetal position, crying my eyes out when that day comes.
2. Space-X Launches 143 Satellites on One Rocket in Record Setting Mission. In a new ride-share program developed back in 2019, Space-X launched the most satellites ever carried on one rocket. One hundred and forty-three to be exact. That’s a lot of satellites.
3.Cookie Monster Found Inside A Rock. Geologists in Brazil got a nice surprise when they opened up a volcanic rock and found a familiar Sesame Street face staring back at them. He looks so expectant–like he’s hoping for a cookie.
4. Volunteers Remove 9200 Pounds of Trash From One of the Dirtiest Rivers in the US. In one weekend, volunteers dug out over 9000 pounds of trash from the banks of the Tennessee River. That is a lot of garbage. Way to go to the non-profit groups that organized this mass clean up–Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful and Johnsonville State Historic Park.
5. Man Regains Sight After Being First Person Ever to Receive an Artificial Cornea. A firm out of Israel developed an implant that merges with natural human tissue. A 78 year old man was the first to receive one and got to see his family again. Oh. my. gosh. This is SO amazing!
What good things have you heard about this week? Feel free to share anything you find and remember–keep smiling!
