Sometimes it seems that’s there’s only bad news, but remember there is always good news too–it just takes a little searching. This is my attempt to find it and share it. Just click the links to read the stories–I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
1.Ukraine Receives Truckload of Starlink Terminals From Elon Musk. I’m sure you’ve heard how Elon Musk is using his innovative powers to be used for good–all over the world. Most notably he is attempting to help the Ukraine in their recent crisis of war. When their telecommunications infrastructure came under attack, he came to the rescue. Way to go!
2. 600 More Hospitals Get Free LEGO MRI Scanners–to Reduce Anxiety in Young Patients. I absolutely LOVE this! What started as a passion project for LEGO employee, Erik Ullerlund Staehr, has grown so that now the Lego Foundation is donating these 500 piece kits to hospitals to better help their young patients prepare for the rather intimidating scans. Many years ago, I had to watch my son have to go into the big noisy machine–he was so scared. This is SUCH a magnificent way to help kids cope.
3. Old Wind Turbine Blades Used For Bridge Construction After They’re Retired. A new bridge in Ireland called the Bladebride was erected using decommissioned wind turbine blades. The Re-Wind Network is an organization that has dedicated itself to addressing the global problem of used turbine blades. What a cool idea!
4.FormerUK Royal Marine Drove 1000 Miles to Ukraine Border in Minibus Loaded with Supplies for Refugees. Tom Littledyke was inspired to do something when he saw families broken and separated by the conflict in the Ukraine. He loaded up a mini bus full of supplies and made the long journey saying that “it doesn’t matter what we do, as long as it’s something in the right direction.” I admire folks that see how they can help and just do it. Good job Tom!
5.Sneaky Cat Swings on Handle to Open Door For all His Friends. Silvestro and a group of other cats found themselves locked out of their home, he swung into action and found a way to break in–and of course let his friends in too. The video is just too cute!
What good things have you heard about this week? Feel free to share anything you find and remember–keep smiling!
