Just like there is always bad news out there–there is always good news too. This is my attempt to find it and share it. Just click the links to read the stories–I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
1. Homeowner creates racetrack in his driveway for a neighborhood kid. This is –by far– my favorite good thing of the week. Apparently, this homeowner’s security cameras were constantly getting tripped because a local child was using his driveway for cycling practice. Rather than getting upset because the kid was “trespassing”, he decided to create a racetrack for him to follow.
2. 39 Missing Children Found in Georgia. This isn’t just a good thing, this is an AMAZING thing. There have been other reports of similar operations of finding even more children in other states. The folks that have pulled this off deserve a standing ovation.
3. 10 year old in Ireland finds a 300 year old sword with his brand new metal detector. What kid asks for a metal detector for his birthday? You know his parents were thinking MAYBE he might get lucky and find a few coins or something. “What did you find on your first day, son?” “Oh, you know, just a rare treasure. That’s all.”
4. California road made form recycled plastic. Finally a good use for those thousands of plastic bottles our nation chunks in the trash every day. This is just a test, but I love that innovative minds are coming up with good recycling solutions. Hoping it works!
5. Brave hospital workers stay behind in hurricane to care for 19 babies in intensive care. Oh my heart! Can you even imagine? These wonderful care givers braved category 4 Hurricane Laura to make sure these babies stayed safe.
Feel free to share any good things you find and remember to keep smiling!
