Sometimes it seems that’s there’s only bad news, but remember there is always good news too–it just takes a little searching. This is my attempt to find it and share it. Just click the links to read the stories–I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
1. President Trump brokers peace deal between Israel and The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. It’s called the Abraham Accords Peace Agreement and this is a good thing for everyone. Getting the powers that be in the Middle East to agree to get along is always a big deal and something to be celebrated.
2. COVID-19 Numbers are trending down in several key areas in our nation. It’s so hard to see an end in sight with this virus–especially since there is doom and gloom that is constantly spread. BUT, there is some really good news trending in several key areas around our nation and around the world. THAT is a good thing indeed!
3. Hungarian Scientist awarded prize for groundbreaking research that could eventually restore sight for a specific type of blindness. Can you even imagine? Botond Roska has developed a gene-editing treatment that is currently in clinical trials. It is hoped that this treatment can cure a type of blindness (retinitus pigmentosa) that affects around 1 in 4000 children. Wow! Just Wow!
4.Boy donates 22,000 diapers using funds from his lemonade stand. Any time I see an article about a child doing something selfless–I take notice. I am raising two young men at this moment in life and I like to point out to them that there are actual human beings–their age–that spend their time and money on others. This young man–at 11 years old is IMPRESSIVE. I feel like he deserves our applause (and his Momma too).
5. North Dakota community rallies to help farmer harvest crops after he suffered a heart attack. I love stories about folks coming together to help out their neighbors. This community took care of one of their own in his moment of need–it just give me all the good feels to read about people helping each other.
What good things have you heard about this week? Feel free to share anything you find and remember–keep smiling!
