A weekly list of things accomplished, enjoyed, learned, tried and remembered.
1. Air City 360. Wow! Oh Wow! What a fun new place they’ve opened up in our town. We decided to try this out for our last hurrah before school started back. It has everything–trampolines, ziplines, a huge bouncy house obstacle course, trampoline dodge ball and basketball and so much more. They are pretty reasonably priced –starting at $15 for 30 minutes all the way up to two hours for $27. In addition, there is an air coaster that’s WAY up high where you are mounted in safety straps and then zip around a 500′ track–it costs $7 per ride. We did 90 minutes of play and one ride on the air coaster–and that was plenty. The boys had a great time and were completely worn out by the end. 2. Taking Down Christmas. We always keep up our Christmas decorations until after the new year and most often until Epiphany. I never knew what this was until a few years ago when I was feeling particularly self-conscious because we still had our Christmas lights going well into the new year. A friend explained that it was perfectly acceptable to leave one’s lights and decorations up until the completion of this holiday (just click the link to read about it). Now, that’s my excuse–we celebrate Epiphany. It’s always a little sad to take it all down—whereas we play all our favorite Christmas music when we decorate, it seems that when we take it down, there should be something like Mozart’s Requiem or an Irish dirge playing to reflect my feelings.
3. Movies and Shows We Watched. We haven’t had a chance to see any movies so far this new year, but we have enjoyed many new TV shows. Just click the link to read our reviews.
4. My Favorite Memes of the Week.
As always, I would love to hear from you. I hope you have a great week!
