A weekly list of things accomplished, enjoyed, learned, tried and remembered.
1.A lot of creativity going on. We haven’t had very many commitments on the weekends these past couple of weeks, so there’s been a lot of projects work going on. Both of the boys have busied themselves with Lego builds. I love that they do this, but I really am not a fan of the mess that usually stays there for weeks on end.
Super Rockstar has been building us some wonderful storage shelves in our garage. I can’t believe how great it is to have places to put all of our things. AND he cleans up his mess right away.
As for me–I’m working on our photo albums. I started these when Super Rockstar and I got married and I put one together for each of our almost 29 years together. However, I’m about a decade behind. So, it’s a mess. It will remain a mess until I get caught up or distracted with some other project. And no one, but me gets to complain about it.
2.A nice day for an outing. This time of year, anything above freezing is considered a “nice day”. After church last weekend, we decided since it was 42 degrees, to pick up some KFC and head to Black Forest for a picnic. However, a slight breeze had turned a bit brisk by the time we got out there–and came with a lot of wind chill. Our fingers froze as we gobbled down our chicken as fast as we could. Grayson and I ran a lap around the field to warm up while Super Rockstar let Morgan drive the truck to come pick us up. Of course they had to get in a snowball fight before we left. It still felt good to get out and get some fresh air.
3. Solo Gig at Parkway Tavern. Super Rockstar got to play a solo gig at Parkway Tavern. It’s a really nice bar/restaurant on the north side of town (off Voyager Drive). A lot of folks had planned to come, but of course it was another snowy night. We appreciated the mighty few that made it and he put on a really good show. You can always check out his music and art at timgennmusic.com.
Date Night. Super Rockstar and I enjoyed an evening to ourselves. It was an absolutely gorgeous night to be out and about in our fair city. We had dinner at Chuy’s--which was absolutely delicious. My favorite are their fajitas. And then we went to our favorite movie theater–Icon Cinemas. I love this place because they have super comfy reclining seats and their popcorn and drinks are unlimited refills. We saw Jesus Revolution and absolutely loved it (just click on the link below to read our full review).
5. Movies and Shows to Watch. Just click the link to read our reviews on some movies we watched.
6. My Favorite Memes of the Week.
As always, I would love to hear from you. I hope you have a great week!
