A weekly list of things accomplished, enjoyed, learned, tried and remembered.
1. Spring Snow. Oh Colorado. You never disappoint when it comes to giving us a surprise dumping of snow several times every spring. Last week we awoke to about 4″ at our house. The boys were thrilled because they got a school delay, but for most of us– the white stuff has lost the magical appeal it held for us back in November. But, we don’t dare complain because–and it’s something you will hear every Coloradan say–“We Need The Moisture.”
2. SofaKillers @ Boot Barn Hall. Wow! Oh Wow! What an amazing gig night. This is the 16th time in a row that SofaKillers have played to a sold-out crowd at Boot Barn Hall. I just love it when everyone comes ready to dance and have a good time all night long. Great job to all the guys for putting on a killer show (eh? See what I did there?). And I had a great time dancing with my favorite fellow band wives and SofaKillers groupies.
3. Easter Egg Decorating. We did our traditional egg decorating the day before Easter. I also tried out a new dye method. I wish I would have saved the box so I could accurately tell you what it was called–but the gist was that it was a powder that you mix with water and it makes a foam (kind of like shaving cream). You then, add the various color dye’s and then swirl the egg around in the foam, let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse off. It made some very pretty and unique looking eggs.
4. Easter Day. I love celebrating Easter. Hiding and hunting eggs is fun, giving baskets filled with candy and gifts is great, but the best part is celebrating what Jesus did for me (and for you) on the Cross. I will never be able to wrap my head around it–but I am so grateful. He is Risen!
