A weekly list of things accomplished, enjoyed, learned, tried and remembered.
1.Some Big News. We got to attend the wonderful wedding of my niece Amy to her Zach this past May (you can read about that here). I am SO INCREDIBLY excited to get to share that they are expecting a baby. My sister and brother-in-law are over the moon excited as they can’t wait to be grandparents. And I am ecstatic about being a great aunt. Baby Force is due in May 2024. Congratulations Amy and Zach!
2. Thanksgiving Feast. My parents got to come for Thanksgiving this year and it’s always wonderful to have them here. Our feast was incredible–Super Rockstar made his specialty: giblet gravy and the pecan pie, my mom made her amazing cranberry salad and stuffing, Papa entertained the boys (or did the boys entertain Papa?) and I filled in the rest. We all enjoy the eating. It was fantastic and as an extra special treat–the Cowboys won!
3. Some After Thanksgiving fun.
My mom and I have been going Black Friday shopping for many years. Even though the retailers took all the fun and competition out of it (no more waking up at 3:00am to get in line), we still had fun being out and about —and we got some good deals.
Super Rockstar made a new wooden Christmas tree to add to our yard decor. And I scored some awesome nutcracker soldiers during our Black Friday shopping for our front porch. I have been wanting these for YEARS. Squeal! I love it all!
And we all got to go see the Nutcracker ballet. Morgan and Grayson had never been to a ballet before and were a little apprehensive about seeing grown men prancing around in tights, but once it began–they were captivated. Our Colorado Springs Symphony was incredible.
