A weekly list of things accomplished, enjoyed, learned, tried and remembered.
1. A nice change. Just 3 days ago, we got a dumping of 4″ of snow, but today was glorious. Sixty degrees and sunny–it couldn’t have been any better. I sometimes feel like our winters drag on and on, but it’s days like today that make it all worthwhile. Super Rockstar went for a long walk, I enjoyed a bike ride and our boys soaked in the sun while throwing the ball around. Perfect.
2. What We Watched. Super Rockstar and I completed our Jack Ryan movie binge. We watched Patriot Games and then Clear and Present Danger. Both of these have Harrison Ford playing the Jack Ryan character and are SO good. Patriot Games is rated R–I had forgotten why until we watched it. It has a very adult scene and the violence is quite bloody. Clear and Present Danger is rated PG-13. We ended up re-watching it with the boys over the weekend and they loved it. It has some foul language and some of the content wouldn’t be appropriate for a younger audience, but tween and older is fine. This one is Super Rockstar’s favorite and he is happy to entertain by quoting many lines from the movie.
We also watched Alita Battle Angel with the boys. Super Rockstar and I watched this a few months ago and really enjoyed the story. The boys like it too. It has quite a bit of violence (it’s based on a video game) and is pretty intense in some places. Again, this one is fine for tween/teen, but not for younger kiddos.
Super Rockstar and I finally have some episodes to watch of one of our favorite TV shows. The Blacklist is in it’s 8th season now. It has James Spader as the main character–Red Reddington who is #1 on the FBI’s most wanted list. He has made a deal to help them catch other criminals on their list–which they call The Blacklist. Spader is absolutely brilliant in this show. I don’t know who does the writing, but his character is priceless and he delivers perfectly. This season has taken a turn I’m not fond of with a story line that’s getting old, but we are still enjoying it overall.
3.My Favorite Memes of the Week.
