A weekly list of things accomplished, enjoyed, learned, tried and remembered.
1.Yard Work. It’s that precarious time of year, when we Coloradans make attempts to bring our hopelessly dead looking yards back to life. In between snow storms we scurry about like a triage unit in desperate efforts to create some sort of greenery during our pathetically short growing season (I think spray painting everything green might be easier). This past week–Super Rockstar and I were able to aerate (we have a nice little hand tool that works most of the time), pull weeds, and scatter some fertilizer before our forecasted 2-3″ of snow. As you can see–we have a long way to go in getting rid of ‘the walking dead’ lawn. But, just look at my little garden seedlings that I planted a few weeks ago (you can read that here)–they are so cute! As soon as the ground thaws to a respectable growing temperature (some time in early June), I hope to actually get them planted in the ground. Fingers crossed.
2.An Awesome Date Night. Super Rockstar and I got to have a really nice date night. We had drinks and appetizers at a newish pizza place in town called Parry’s Pizza and Taphouse. Both the beer and the food were wonderful. I highly recommend this place–we will most definitely be back. We also got to go see a movie at Icon Cinema. They have finally re-opened and I’m so glad–it’s a really nice, family friendly movie theater. My favorite is they have unlimited free refills on popcorn and drinks. We saw The Courier and it is GOOD! I’ll write more about it later this week in my What We Watched post. I sure enjoy spending ‘just us’ time with my man. He’s my favorite!
3.A Fantastic Mother’s Day. My Mother’s Day celebration was so awesome! I awoke to beautiful flowers, home made cards and a wonderful gift. I also got to enjoy doing some of my favorite things–a bike ride in Black Forest and antique shopping. We found some great treasures. I’m so excited about the Grandfather clock cabinet we found! I felt loved and celebrated by my guys and that made it the best of all. I just so love being a Momma!
4. What We Watched. The Dirty Harry saga continues, Super Rockstar and I are also loving a binge watch on a TV series, and we introduced the boys to The Bourne movie series. Just click the link to read what we thought about them all.
5. My Favorite Memes of the Week.
As always, I would love to hear from you. I hope you have a great week!
