Place the turkey and broth in a large pot and heat through (you can also put it in a crock pot and cook and simmer it for a few hours)
Make the Dumplings: Mix the flour with the salt and pepper. Cut in the shortening (or butter). Add cold water 1 Tbsp at a time until dough clings together. Roll it into a ball. Roll out the ball to ⅛" thick. Cut into 1" X 2" strips.
Remove the meat from the pot and bring the broth to a boil. Drop the dumplings in one at a time and stir them around so they don't stick together.
Cook for 15-20 minutes
Add the meat back to the pot and heat through.
Serve hot and enjoy!
