The other day(Coffee Break–Volume 14), I told you about the wonderful miracle of Make Your Own Microwave Popcorn that I saw on a Rachel Ray show. I just had to try it and I’m happy to report that it turned out magnificently!
The Ingredients: All you need is 1/4 cup popcorn, a brown paper bag and a stapler.
Place the popcorn in the bag.
Staple it closed on each end. (two staples are all you need)(you can use tape if staples in the microwave make you nervous)
Place it in your microwave and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Just like the store bought–listen for when the popping slows down and take it out early if you need to.
Add your favorite toppings and enjoy! I add a little spray butter and salt.
I can’t tell you how thrilling this is to me–the store bought kind is always a little too buttery and greasy for my taste. This is not only way cheaper, but it tastes better.
