We are a family that loves movies and TV shows. Each week I’ll share what we watched and what we thought about them. I hope it will give you good insight and even some ideas if you’re stuck finding something new.
1. Remember the Titans. I hadn’t seen this movie in years. It is SO good and is based on a true story with Denzel Washington playing a football coach hired during the 1970’s at a school that is racially integrating for the first time. I love the entire story of how the team learns to play as a team. It’s rated PG (you can read the parent guide here).
2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This is the fourth movie in the series and as with each one–the story gets more and more serious and dark. There is a tournament with 2 other schools in which Harry and 3 others compete–each contest involves life or death. Also, Lord Voldemort makes his return to the land of the living and is an evil force Harry must face. It’s rated PG-13 (you can read the parent guide here).
3. Dark Winds. This is a new show streaming on AMC+. It’s about a Navajo tribal police force in the 1970’s as they uncover a major crime ring going on in the territory. They follow the clues that lead to solving multiple crimes. It’s rated TV-MA. There are some gruesome murder scenes and “dark magic” from a creepy witch type woman. This first season has 6 episodes and we’re really enjoying it.
I would love to hear our opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch.
