We are a family that loves movies and TV shows. Each week I’ll share what we watched and what we thought about them. I hope it will give you good insight and even some ideas if you’re stuck finding something new.
1. Rabbit Hole. This is a new show streaming on Paramount + starring Kiefer Sutherland. It’s very interesting–about a corporate espionage expert who finds himself dealing with a shadow conspiracy that is trying to overtake the American government. Each episode (8 total) ends with a cliffhanger. The title says it all–I honestly couldn’t figure out what was real and what wasn’t at times. I thought it was really good. Its rated TV-MA.
2. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. This was such a fun movie. We held off seeing it until it was available to rent because we weren’t sure it looked “movie theater worthy”. It most definitely would have been–good story, great humor and a fun adventure to watch. It has a Lord of the Rings feel to it only with a lot of silliness. We loved it. It’s rated PG-13 (you can read the parent guide here).
3. Galaxy Quest. I can’ t believe we had not introduced our boys to this classic movie. We corrected that this past week and they really enjoyed it. If you have never seen it–it’s a great action/comedy from 1999. Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver and Allen Rickman star as washed-up space show actors at a “ComiCon” type event when real aliens employ them to help fight a real threat to their planet. It’s very much a spoof on Star Trek and has great scenes, memorable characters, and a fun story. It’s rated PG (you can read the parent guide here).
I would love to hear our opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch.
