We are a family that loves movies and TV shows. Each week I’ll share what we watched and what we thought about them. I hope it will give you good insight and even some ideas if you’re stuck finding something new.
1. The Johnny English Movies. Super Rockstar had never watched these before, so the boys and I decided to introduce him. They are just really funny movies that are a spoof on the 007 James Bond movies. There are three to enjoy (Johnny English, Johnny English Reborn, and Johnny English Strikes Again.) All are rated PG. If you like silly action movies–these are perfect.
2. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. I have loved the first two seasons of Bridgerton that stream on Netflix. And now there is now a prequel to enjoy. Like the Bridgerton series, it’s rated TV-MA–and definitely not appropriate for kids. There are a lot of sex scenes (both heterosexual and homosexual) which I’m not a big fan of, so I find myself fast forwarding through all that. But overall, I think it’s a very creative and intriguing series so far.
3. Hidden Strike. In our quest to find a family movie–we ran across this one. It stars Jackie Chan and John Cena and when we watched the trailer–it looked really good. Unfortunately, it’s not. It’s absolutely awful. We only made it 42 minutes (there was still an hour to go) before we all agreed that it wasn’t worth finishing. It’s not often we stop watching something in the middle–but we just couldn’t see wasting any more of our time. It’s rated TV-14 (you can read the parent guide here).
I would love to hear our opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch.
