We are a family that loves movies and TV shows. Each week I’ll share what we watched and what we thought about them. I hope it will give you good insight and even some ideas if you’re stuck finding something new.
1. Ahsoka. This is another new Star Wars TV Series streaming on Disney + that focuses on Ahsoka Tano. I’ll be honest–I don’t know much about her character, but my boys sure do. They have watched every Star Wars movie, live action TV show, cartoon TV show, read numerous books and know every story line and character (I wish they spent this much time on schoolwork). We’ve watched 4 episodes so far (a new one releases every Thursday–there will be 8 total) and I’m beginning to get the gist of it. My boys, however, have been squealing in delight with each episode over the characters, the sets, the spaceships–all of it. Apparently, the thought dead Grand Admiral Thrawn is somewhere in the galaxy and is seeking to come back to power. Ahsoka (who is a Jedi) and Sabine (who is a Mandalorian training to be a Jedi) are trying to keep that from happening and to also find their long-lost friend Ezra–who was also thought to be dead. We are all enjoying it so far. It’s rated TV-14 (you can read the parent guide here).
2. Dark Winds: Season 2. This is a really interesting show about Navajo police officers and their lives solving crimes on the reservation. There are some shady new characters this season that Sheriff Leaphorn and his crew have to investigate and take down. We have only watched two episodes so far (there are 6 total). It streams on AMC + for free, but you have to pay on other streaming services. It’s rated TV-MA.
I would love to hear our opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch.
