1. The Old Way. This looked intriguing and even though we saw that it stars Nicholas Cage (always a bit of a gamble), the trailer looked good. Hmmm. How do I put this? Our gamble did not pay off. It’s about an old gunslinger who leaves his criminal past behind and becomes a respectable family man. His past catches up to him and now he is seeking revenge. Super Rockstar and I wondered several times throughout the movie if the script was also written by Nicolas Cage. It has his kind of cheese factor all over it. It’s rated R.
2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. My boys have been wanting to see this one since it came out over the summer. But, we had only deemed it rental worthy and had to wait a while. I really liked the first one–but that was before every Marvel movie started becoming all about the multiverse. I am just over the whole “lets tie up every story that’s ever been written about a Marvel character by explaining it through the multiverse. I also was very tired when we watched it and fell asleep halfway through. My boys LOVED it. Super Rockstar feels the same as I do and he watched the whole thing. But, like I said my boys absolutely loved it and even watched it a second time.
I would love to hear our opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch.
