I think BBQ anything is often thought of as “summer” food. The way I see it, when the temperatures have been arctic cold and we get hit with a warm day (for us that’s in the 50’s)–it might as well be summer. This recipe for BBQ Ribs is so good and will leave you pining for the promise of longer, warmer days spent in your back yard with the grill running hot.
- 1-Rack of pork ribs
- 2-3 Tbsp. of dry rub seasoning.
- ½- 1 cup of BBQ sauce
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees
- Place rack of ribs on foil and sprinkle with dry rub seasoning (I used Gates Seasoning and Marinade)
- Wrap tightly in foil and place in large pan.
- Bake for 2 hours.
- Remove foil and brush both sides with BBQ Sauce.
- Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side.
1.The Ingredients
2. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
3. Place rack of ribs on foil and sprinkle dry rub seasoning on both sides. I use my hands to rub it in. It’s yucky to touch raw meat, but that’s what antibacterial soap was made for.
4. Wrap tightly in foil and place in large pan. Bake for 2 hours. The low temperature and long cooking time ensure the ribs will be tender and juicy.
5. Remove foil and brush both sides with BBQ Sauce. You can use a fancy BBQ brush or just the back of a spoon. You can even use your hands (remember, you have soap).
6. Grill for 2-3 minutes on both sides. The meat is already cooked, so this is just to sear the sauce and give you that nice grilled taste.
Enjoy!
Serve them with some canned corn (or if you can find corn on the cob) and a salad. Heck even make coleslaw if you’re really needing a dose of summer. These are so delicious. For just a few minutes, you can try to forget that we have another cold front coming with more snow on the way.
