Have you ever noticed that a lot of packaged food has recipes on the packaging? I was making some pasta several years ago and noticed a recipe for alfredo sauce and have been making this Delicious Chicken Alfredo ever since.
- 1 Package of Fettuccini noodles
- 1 large chicken breast
- ½ Cup butter
- 1 Cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cook noodles according to package directions
- Cook chicken and cut into cubes
- Melt butter in large skillet
- Add parmesan and whipping cream and mix well.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer stirring frequently.
- Add noodles and chicken mix well.
- Add Salt and Pepper to taste
Ingredients.
Cook the noodles. Just follow the package directions and then drain them.
Cook the chicken. You can use whatever method you want to cook the chicken– in a skillet, baked, grilled, ….I’m not sure what other methods there are. And then chop it into cubes.
Melt butter in a large skillet. This doesn’t take very long, so don’t walk away to do your dishes….or it will burn and then you have to start over.
Add the parmesan cheese and whipping cream and mix well.
Bring to a boil and then simmer for about 5 minutes–stirring frequently. (Again with the burning thing)
Add the noodles and chicken and mix well.
Enjoy! Super Rockstar insisted that I needed to work on my presentation skills for my food photos. So, if you’re wondering what the “fancy” flakes are on top–it’s parsley. Oooo. Ahhh.
I have an electric stove, had gas many decade ago but love my electric stove glass top…so easy to clean.
I have several cutting boards,in different sizes, but only one small wooden one.
Thanks for all the recipes, I have to search for the corn bread one, I forgot to save it. Quick question will evaporated milk work as well as whipping cream?
I’ve never tried evaporated milk. I’m not sure if it would have the richness that whipping cream has.
Thanks, I believe you are right. It wouldn’t be the same, without the richness of whipping cream.
Thanks again jennifer

I miss my big wooden cutting board also. I have an electric stove also, haven’t had gas one in years. Thanks for the recipes.
Awesome recipe, and one of my favorites. Curious, do have a gas or electric stove and which do you prefer?
Thanks for all the step by step photos. Love your cutting board, I have a silicone now, I miss my large wooden one.
I have an electric stove. I LOVE my big ole wood cutting board😀
