We are a family that loves movies and TV shows. Each week I’ll share what we watched and what we thought about them. I hope it will give you good insight and even some ideas if you’re stuck finding something new.
1. The Matrix Revolutions. This is the final one of the original trilogy and it begins with Neo stuck inside the matrix. Once he’s released by his friends (after a huge battle with the multiple Mr. Smith’s), they wage a final showdown with the machines who have found their city, Zion, and are trying to destroy it. They are able in the end to strike a peace with the enormous network of super smart AI machine’s after Neo promises to eliminate the multiple Mr. Smith’s (can’t we all just get along?). I tried so hard to understand–I really did. Super Rockstar found a website that explains the story so much better, but even so….my brain hurts when I try to figure it out. So, I am quietly going with the suspension of disbelief they created. It’s rated R–so not for kids.
2. Kingsman: The Secret Service. Since the prequal of this movie series is coming out this month, we decided to re-watch the first two. I absolutely loved this movie– I had forgotten so much about it. It is all about a secret organization that fronts as a men’s tailor shop. They take care of the world’s bad guys with style and grace–using all of the coolest “bond-like” toys and gadgets. It’s a fun story with great action. It has a lot of foul language, some over the top violence and a few adult scenes. It’s rated Rs–so not appropriate for kids.
3. Kingsman: The Golden Circle. In this one–most all of the Kingmen are wiped out by a drug cartel. They find that there is a similar organization to Kingsmen in Kentucky called The Statesmen. Working with them–they are able to take down the cartel and win the day. Again–very enjoyable story and great action. It also has a lot of foul language, over the top violence and adult scenes. It’s rated R as well.
I would love to hear your opinions and any suggestions you may have of what to watch.
