Chili

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 8 oz can of tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2-15 oz cans of kidney beans drained and rinced
  • 1/4 cup corn meal
  • Shredded cheese for serving
  • Sour Cream for serving
  • Corn Chips for serving

Method
 

  1. Mix garlic salt and ground beef.
  2. Brown the meat.
  3. Drain excess fat
  4. Add tomato paste, water, chili powder, cumin, salt, italian seasoning.
  5. Stir together well
  6. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low
  7. Simmer for 1 hour.
  8. Add water as needed if it becomes dry
  9. Add corn meal and stir together well.
  10. Add the beans and simmer 10 minutes.
  11. Serve with shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream and corn chips.
